Congress says Suresh Prabhu ‘failed utterly’ as railway minister, asks Narendra Modi to sack him

New Delhi: Congress on Wednesday accused Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu had “completely failed” in his work and has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fire and name a “responsible person” in the post. This “corporate responsibility” would not do it, Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala said stressing that Prabhu had to resign.

Surjewala referred to the updates of Prabhu that took “full moral responsibility” for the recent train accidents and indicated that he had submitted his resignation in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also urged the prime minister to appoint a person responsible for him and get a security card from the railways.

“This responsibility of company will not do it.Either the prime minister to dismiss the minister of railways or must accept his resignation. It is time for the prime minister to appear and establish a roadmap for the Iron routes,” said the official Of Congress to journalists.

Sending a member of the Commission’s licensed railways or suspension of young officers was not enough. “Railroad Minister Suresh Prabhu said today, again on Twitter instead of standing up and facing the media, he takes his responsibilities.” The Minister of Railways has failed completely.

That said, it was not acceptable. “First, it asks the Minister of Railways to appoint a person in his position.” He returns prime minister by which a railway safety card. “Allow his vision of the railroads to be implemented in the next One Year,” he said.

The Congress leader also called on the prime minister to allocate money for railway safety, fill vacancies of 1.42 lakh on railroads and ensure the safety of passenger million.

He said that 28 major train accidents, including 259 people were injured 973, had taken place since the Modi government took office. The number of derailment deaths in 2016-17 was the highest that has occurred in a decade.

Surjewala added that 40 percent of “line sections” 1219 Indian Railways is congested beyond 100% capacity. High-density 247 line stretches, the congestion rate was even higher.

Reducing the attack on the Prabhu party, Congressman Manish Tewari said Prabhu should withdraw from his post if he had a “moral apex” left after two derailments in five days.

Railroad president “Ask”, AK Mittal to resign, was “the worst kind of form,” he added. The Government has today appointed President and CEO of Air India Ashwani Lohani, president of the railways after Mital has resigned.

“Prabhu must immediately resign if he has a piece of morale left after the incident today left another 74 injured. This is the worst kind of form asking for advice Train President or any other official to leave aside” , Told Tewari press here.

If Modi could spend Rs 1 lakh million rupees on a bullet train, why has it not been able to allocate Rs 40 billion to the safety of railroads. “We saw platform entrances up. We saw passengers back, but rail safety remains under a serious cloud,” he said.

On August 19, 13 trainers Kalinga Utkal express derailed Khatauli, Uttar Pradesh, killing more than 20 passengers and wounding more than 150. Today, four days later, at least 70 people were injured when Kaifiyat expressed derailed Auraiya in the state.
